ID help- Unknown Lampwork Rose Paperweight
« on: January 22, 2007, 05:06:12 PM »
The links are to photos of an unknown lampwork rose paperweight. Rose is nicely formed. The dark coloring on the rose petals may be an indication of a bad batch of glass, not really sure, just guessing. Leaves are a transparent green and the stem is opaque. It has 4 side facets and one top facet giving the weight a cube  look.  Bottom has a wide flat basal ring with a 16 point star cut into it. Glass is reasonably clear with maybe a slight gray tint.  Size is: 2 7/8" wide x 1 13/16" high. With the pocket black light I have the glass has a cloudy yellow/green fluorescence.

Any help with ID or where to look for more information will be appreciated.

I think the dark colouring on the petals just makes them look velvety enough to stroke. It's beautiful
