Clear pressed glass salt and pepper. Made in Japan
« on: January 18, 2007, 12:05:08 AM »
I have no idea where these were made and who made them. They are pressed glass. The metal part has a flat top rather than pointed one. The base has a partial star cut style pattern with no pattern in the centre.

I've just noticed a variation in the pattern on the other two sides. All is the same except that the diamonds are smaller.

Thanks, Tony.  :-\

Think these might be from Japan.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VINTAGE-PRESSED-GLASS-SALT-PEPPER-SHAKERS-MADE-IN-JAPAN-W-BOX-/301000114228?hash=item4615014034

Pattern look exacly the same but metal fitments are different. Oblong shaped blue label reads: 'Made in Japan' on the base. The box looks maybe 1950's?
