unusual hock glasses ,stourbridge, vsl, bohemian?
« on: January 20, 2007, 04:18:40 PM »
I should have thought to ask the boards advice on these nice Hock glasses which i have just
listed on ebay.

http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-4638
http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-4637

I would post a link to the ebay page where i have more photos and a full description, but not sure how
to shorten the link. Could i ask a moderator to tell me how to do it?
They are good quality and i think maybe quite old, but not sure of maker origin or date
Anyone have any ideas?
(a search on ebay for stourbridge hock should bring up jus the one item)
Thanks Andy

ps they are yellowy green, maybe uranium 7 1/2 inches tall . i think made in 3 parts, bowl, stem, base.

All is explained here http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,3122.0.html
For links you do no need to use any brackets etc. You can paste it as it is.

Hi Andy, the link I gave is the shortest URL for eBay where the destination shows - simply copy/paste that into the message and it shows up - the board is smart enough to know it's an URL without you having to add anything else to it.

Now if you wanted to make it really short and snazzy like this Hock Glasses you can do this to the URL

Code: [Select]
Hock Glasses and put that in your message where you want the link to appear.

Neat isn't it? ;)

But, as demostrated in Anne's response above, this SMF board is clever enough to put long links into scrolling boxes, which do not give the problems the fomer board did.

So just copy and paste any link, even those that appear to go on forever!
