Lidded jug/pitcher and tumblers
« on: January 25, 2007, 02:49:34 AM »
Another find that has me puzzled... does anyone recognise them please?

The jug is a tall lemonade/water jug with a lid. The jug handle and lid knob are both clear colourless glass, the rest is an olive-oil colour, not as dark as amber. The jug has an offset-oval pattern all over - almost like quilting, the tumblers have a smaller version of the same pattern but it's not as pronounced on them.

There are no maker's marks anywhere, the jug has a large polished pontil mark, the tumblers are flat-bottomed without a pontil mark.
