Thomas Webb Crystal 1920s 30s anyone know pattern?
« on: January 25, 2007, 09:22:16 PM »
Ive got about 20 of these nice Webb Glasses, ive tried some web(b) sites but cannot find
the name of this pattern, probably because its quite early, the glasses are just signed webb,
i think this dates them to early 20thC. (before 1935).
Is there any where else i can try, maybe in the stourbridge area?
maybe Bernard may know?
Regards Andy

Can't help myself, but you could try this site:

The various marks are also shown here. Also try Angela's Encyclopedia (link top of every GMB page)

Thanks David,
most just have Webb, which looks like 1906-1935, although a couple ive noticed have the
made in webb England mark, 1936-49, so maybe they are from mid 30s, or a couple are later
replacements.
the replacements.com web site is great for identifying patterns, although it can take ages to
go through all the patterns of a particular maker. I cannot see this webb pattern though!
i'll keep trying,
Cheers Andy

I have a note to my Stuart Sandringham that it matches Russell.
Sure looks like it. Replacements was the only site to come up on a search.

Thanks Glassic,
I think the patterns the same, but its got a different stem, I suppose the
beakers or old fashioned would match but mine are quite large at 4" tall.
Cheers Andy
