Unless they reduced the price by about 90%, then they still sold for a lot more than their general current value!  ;D

No production dates for Apollo, but designed in 1974 - Meech was employed as a design consultant from 1972 - 1984. She was also responsible for two other ranges:

the Rosy tumblers, moulded with a rosette in the foot, and the Solar bowls and tumblers, spiral-twisted up to the waist.

Don't know how successful they were on the sales floor though - I haven't come across either so far.

Thanks for that - very useful information.

I've not come across the other two ranges either.

Just occured to me to look through McConnell's C20 Glass, and he has Siesta priced at £20 boxed...

Worth mentioning that Heidi's site, when up-and-running, will attempt to put some order into the Sherley/Ravenhead ranges.

And that I'll be in the market for pictures, particularly of the non-screen-printed ranges - I don't have the space to start collecting them too. Goes without saying that any pics will be fully credited, of course.

McConnell also has the screen-printed tumblers priced at £5-10 - I wish! Unless that's per set, which would be more realistic in my experience.

I can do photographs of Siesta and Apollo with original boxes, if you want?

Look forward to seeing the site when it's up and running.

Great - yes, please! If you can get a shot of the list of Siesta sizes, that'd be really great too. And let me know what name you want in the credit. You can e-mail to me at heidi dot minshall at btinternet dot com.

David - any technical specs Nic should be aware of?

I think I can cope with nice looking as a criteria.  ;D

The Apollo packaging, if I remember correctly, has a size list too. I'll have the snaps to you as soon as I get change to dig everything out (I've only one box of Siesta to hand).

Edit: I found a snapshot of the Apollo packaging lurking on my hard-drive, but don't worry - I'll get a better detailed one done, as this one was a quickie for my own reference purposes.
