Signature identification help needed
« on: January 31, 2007, 10:41:51 AM »
Hi
I recently bought this mushroom on ebay.  It was described as a paperweight
http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-4799

However now I am stumped by the signature:
http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-4798
"Meline" is what it looks like to me.  I am sure I have seen it somewhere before.  Any ideas anybody.
Thanks for the help
KarelM
Ps: Not sure if this should have been in the general glass forum as it is not a paperweight in the traditional sense.

It does say Mdina, Doris. Spot on.  :D
If I know, I'll comment. If I think I know, I'll have a go. If I have no idea, I'll just keep quiet and learn from others, so the next time I'll know.

Lots of eBay sellers are challenged by clearly printed labels too :)

What printed labels could be a chalenge...he said trying to divert attention from himself
The fact is I have a lovely PIEDOUCHE (thanks argonite) style weight in my collection... recon that weird word will be worth a couple of $$$ on ebay  ;D ;D ;D
