1950s frosted glassware

Now I'm pretty sure these aren't Alexander Hardie Williamson as the seller claims. But it got me wondering - who did produce all that coloured frosted stuff that comes up regularly on e-bay?

And is this the effect that was being discussed here:

Frit frosting??? (Sounds faintly obscene to me  :-[)

Sorry Heidi I can't enlighten you as to the maker however I datewise think they're much more likely to be 1950's or even earlier - not 1960's.

They're not your run of the mill charity shop frosted glasses though. Don't remember seeing this version before
