Pukeberg frog
« on: February 12, 2007, 12:27:02 PM »
Here is quite a large glass frog made by Pukeberg, Sweden.

Half a label on the back says "Design Stig /              "

Does anyone know for certain this is Stig Lindberg?  Does anyone know when this has been in production?

thanks

Nice frog - think I've seen these before. While I can't help with the designer name, I have spotted the familiar Pukeberg label (white 'gob' of glass on black background) in an article dated 1963. Not sure how useful this is. :?

Hi Ivo, cool froggie!  I've had a look but my books only cover Stig Lindberg's ceramics and nothing about glass is mentioned - sorry.

Ivo could it be Sitg L and not Stig / ?

This is a Stig Lindberg signature http://www.1stdibs.com/oneview.php?id=105170&view=5

David that is very useful; the frog has this label and Lindberg died in 1982.
Della the other label is ripped in two; I only have the first half which is printed "design: Stig"  - and then there is a bit missing.

Ahhh, that'll teach me for not reading the post carefully. Sorry, Ivo.  ::)
