Gorgeous blue based bowl - small, heavy, possibly Italian?
« on: February 11, 2007, 04:25:01 PM »
I really find this little bowl very tactile, it's very round and the right size to sit in your palm.  The colour is deep blue at the base, and then clear at the top - is this the Murano incalmo technique (I am cross posting this to the main Glass board just in case it's not)

It is 2.5 ins 65 mm tall, 3.5 ins 90 mm diameter, quite a lot of wear to the flat ground underside, no signature I can see.

Thanks!

Thank you very much!

Not incalmo.

Thanks Adam.  To be honest,  I was doubtful it was, but I haven't seen any in the flesh, so don't know that I would recognise it.

It's a lovely little heavy bowl though, I hope I find out who might have made it.
Thank you very much!
