A Lalique rarity for just £2.65 / €4.00 / $5.00 !

That great rarity, a really interesting, useful, and informative article on Lalique glass has been published in the Antiques Magazine.

Written by Mike Moir, and entitled Renée Lalique Glass — Up Close & Personal, it was published in Issue 1106, dated Week Ending 23 February 2007, cover price just £2.65 / €4.00 / US$5.00.

A full 4+ pages (if you include an extra photograph on p.36), the article includes:-
  • Close up or detailed full colour views of fifteen early examples of Lalique glass, many of which I've never seen illustrated elsewhere,
  • Useful guidelines on how to spot fakes and altered pieces,
  • Mike's recommendations on reference books,
  • A summary of what makes this glass special.

If you are at all interested in Lalique, this is definitely one for the box file at the end of your shelf of glass books.

Thank you kind sir! ...

Kind!   Please, Mike, never ever accuse me of being kind when reviewing published works on glass.  Factual, objective, nitpicking, even vicious, sometimes wrong, but never kind.

... and here's the link to the extra photograph:-
