Title: Small Engraved Glass "Salzbrunn"
Post by: Ohio on April 06, 2010, 09:14:01 PM
Picked up a small wheel engraved glass "Salzbrunn", 4 1/2" high X 2 1/4" diameter. Figured it was some kind of liquor glass. Looked up  Salzbrunn & found they manufactured glass there, but was confused whether it was considered in Bohemia or Germany as some sources has both. I have no idea what the building is, but my question is can these be dated? The glass exhibits considerable wear on the bottom, has a cut & polished stem & has inticate wheel engraving/cutting. From the wear I thought it might be pre-1920 or so. Any responses are appreciated. Thanks, Ken

Probably a souvenir rather than made in Salzbrunn.
