Title: Kosta decanters - help with signature and designer - ID = BH=Elis Bergh
Post by: Andy on September 15, 2010, 01:43:31 PM
Hi all,
first post for ages, i know youve all missed me!  :-*
A couple of nice Kosta decanters, both with same signature, Kosta BH 389
Ive found a couple of lists of Kosta designers, but cant find a BH,
anyone any ideas, and maybe a date, they seem to have a fair amount of wear, could
be 1930s -1970s.
Cheers
Andy

BH=Elis Bergh 1929-1950 designer. As for the date code...Kosta date codes are inconsistant to put it mildly until the Vicke Lindstrand era & Bergh's designs were used for a great many years. Ken

Thanks Ken,
i wondered about Elis Bergh, and they have a 'Deco' feel to them.

Apparently BH or HB indicates a reissue of an earlier style by Elis Bergh.
