Title: A.VE.M lamp?
Post by: Microcefalus on June 14, 2006, 06:38:57 PM
Hi there,

I have just bought this big lamp in an auction in Germany.

It is not signed, but on the auction catalogue was attributed to A.VE.M. Actually, it reminds me some Giulio Radi's creation, "Reazioni Policrome", especially for the use of silver leaf, expanded murrines. The inner layer is opaline white. It also has its original brass chain to hang it on the ceiling.

It's 19" of diameter, and rather heavy. Here are some pics:

Any opinion? Do you like it?,

Ciao,

Marco

I love it Marco. I cannot tell you anything about it though, so I'll just drool quietly in the corner.  8)

There can't be too many masters that would produce such a large piece, it would look great here too :P
