Title: Nemo with an ‘S’?
Post by: Mr. Turnip on August 26, 2013, 03:21:48 PM
Have this rather nice Nemo bowl and underneath it has a very small and neat ‘S’ painted in the same gold paint that is used for the gold blobs. Is it a common occurence for a Nemo to have this on it? I have a few Nemo’s but have never seen one signed in any way before. I’m guessing ‘S’ was the blob painter - a blob painter of some skill to be able to paint such a small, perfect ‘S’?

Well here it is, a Borske Sklo Nemo bowl, one of the 35 different shapes and sizes that (according to Mark Hill) exist - this one is a 190mm in width. I did see another one once. Also has a Bohema sticker which is nice, it's in very good condition too. Is it unusual then?

It may mean that it was enamelled by a homeworker on piecework, rather than in the factory
