Title: ZBS ? Neodymium cut and faceted ashtray. ID = yes, ZBS (with some confidence)
Post by: Anik R on May 29, 2011, 07:43:29 PM
I'd like to know if my ashtray is indeed from Zelezny Brod glassworks...  Please.  It's just a bit over 5cm high and approximately 11cm wide.  It weighs 603g.

Thank you.  :hi:

I'd like to add that I bought the ashtray as a 'set' with a neodymium vase designed by Miloslav Klinger for ZBS.

By the way, the ashtray must have nine lives...  before taking the second picture below, the ashtray slipped from my achy hands and onto the wood panel floor.  It bounced very loudly 3-4 times before it rolled out of my home office.  Nothing happened to it!  No chips or cracks.  :)

I'm now quite confident the ashtray is Zelezny Brod.  In the 1962/12 CGR there is a very similar ashtray designed by Antonin Drobnik for ZBS.
