Hi there
does anybody have any ideas who may have designed/made this Nuutajarvi vase?? or have an idea on when it would have been made.
It has a silver foil sticker with a blue fish shape with silver writting NUUTAJARVI 1792 WARTSILA FINLAND
The vase stands at 17.5cms tall thin clear glass with a thicker base which has a bubbled dark coffee brown effect around the bulbous base (on the internal wall)
many thanks

Just to add I gather the blue fish logo was used between 1977 through to around 93. Although as Michael's link shows production of this design ended in 87.

This vase is by Bjorn Weckström - famous finnish jewelery designer
Name - Kanerva
Production years - 1978-1986

One more addition: "Kanerva" is a series of 5 different vases and a plate.
The bubbles were created with a metal powder. (some kind of thermographic one Weckström was familiar with having been a sculptor too)
