Hello , I think this is either Pallme Konig , Kralik or Loetz , but can anyone say which please and also how old they think it is .
Hope you can help , and thanks for looking
-
It's gorgeous and for some reason I think it's Kralik...I've seen it before but can't locate it so perhaps not.r However if there is a very kind mod around at the moment it would be a good idea to amend your heading. If they are descriptive it will help alert people interested in those items... so it may say 'Bohemian? iridescent vase with green trailing' or something like that, so people know what they are going to find when they click on it.

I think m's right,Kralik, overshot maybe with trailing, very nice
-
hello flying free thanks for your reply , do you know how I could amend the heading
-
Hi, no we can't amend the headers after the first 'modify' hour after one posts... but hopefully a kind mod will be along at some point and see the thread and amend it for you :sun:
In the meantime you could try googling Kralik overshot trailed or Kralik green trailed etc.
Of course it may not be Kralik, but you will find some fabulous glass on the way to have a look at as well, so that is the bonus :)

what does overshot mean please ?
-
Just the name of the type of finish to the surface of the glass, like this one...
-
thanks Keith

Overshot is a finish where the hot glass item has been rolled in tiny chips of glass and then reheated enough to fuse the chips to the surface and get rid of most of the sharp edges.

What Christine said :pb:, ;D

Mod reporting for duty, heading amended.... next....? :)

I would attribute this piece to Kralik, although I would not call it overshot. Generally, with Kralik Overshot there is an alternating pattern of bands rough and smooth surface texture, as can be seen in Keith's example.
This piece exhibits the use of white frit which is considered to be a marker for Kralik production. I would classify the decor as a variant related to the Silveria family.....
Nice vase......
