Title: unknown patterns?
Post by: ibovnu on May 04, 2006, 01:24:52 PM
Hi, I am having a bit of a problem identifying these 5 pieces in my collection, I took the photo's on a wet surface to show the detail:
The first looks like to be a pickle bowl with handles, 8 inches from handle to handle:

The second is a sandwich plate with beaded, frosted, raised Daisys and vines on the bottom, 8 inches:

The third is a Hazel Atlas small green bowl with a pattern only on the bottm half but has a curled rim, approx 6 inches across, 2.5 inches high:

The fourth looks to be a Salad Bowl, 10 inches from handle to handle with 3 smaller bowls of the same pattern, 6 inches:

The fifth is a mystery to me, it is a small glass, holds about 4.5 oz. is approx 4 inces high with a hollow base that holds about 2 oz:

Can you please resize your pictures? They are HUGE.

The first took over 1 minute to load and I am on high speed cable.

1 - Don't know.  I have never seen pattern before.

2-  Maker unknown but is pictured in Colored Glassware of the Depression Era 2 by Hazel Marie Weatherman on page 392.  She calls it "DOILY Plate" found in crystal and green.

3 - Hazel Atlas Rest Well Mixing Bowl  They were made in  5 sizes.

The smallest was G-1573 5.5 inches diameter  and the next size was G-1574 6.5 inches diameter.

4 - I have seen this before and I think it is an orphan piece, meaning it was not part of a regular line but a single piece.  I thought it was in Colored Glassware 2 but can't find it.

5 - I think this is a double egg cup.  I don't know the maker.  I have a double egg cup on my webiste which different but the same principle.
