Title: Red small glass with cut design
Post by: yesvil on September 04, 2011, 02:23:12 PM
Hello,

I need some help to understand this one please. My observations are:

It appears to be Victorian in design but I guess is later. It has a cut away red overlay that looks - to me - extremely thin. The design freehand and quite naive.

I would be grateful of any help with date and maker, country of origin ~Adam

Egermann jumps to mind who are the originators of ruby flash cut-to-clear. Timewise they are harder to pinpoint as these have been in uninterrupted production for maybe 150 years or so.

Looks to have the same cartouche pattern as my labelled Egermann tankard - label says Bohemia Glass, leaflet with it says Egermann

That sticker suggests it was made somewhere between the 1950s and 1980s...
