I have searched Pressglas (getting to know it quite well! :)) but cannot find this vase.
It's a whopping 10½" tall and 7" across the top. It has a registration number pressed into one of the legs, which is 798822.
Any help greatly appreciated.
TIA
Stu.

If that's an English design number it belongs to Hoskins Rose and company reg ' for 1934,can't say I've heard of them,Keith.
-
Hoskins and Rose were importers, not manufacturers, although that's not to say they didn't have stuff made to order. It's likely that your vase is Czech

Thanks Keith and Christine!
I thought as much.
Really grateful, as ever, and hope you're having lovely weekends.

Several importers registered designs for glass items made abroad.

Libochovice for Sklo Union, height should be 275mm, pattern number is 1828. In the pre-1958 catalogue.
Info from the CD catalogue included with Sklo Union Art Before Industry: 20th Century Czech Pressed Glass by Marcus Newhall. (A credit for the identification to the book would be welcome if you are selling.) 8)

Anne - thank you very much!!! :)
I will mention the book, with pleasure and thanks.
The vase is 267mm tall though... that's still ok?
-
Stu I can only tell you for sure what the catalogue says. :) BUT, I'd say yes, as yours is slightly more flared out at the top, whereas the catalogue one is straight at the top, so that flare will account for the slightly lower height. ;)

Thanks Anne. :)
There's a variation in most repeated pressed items in my collection, so I am guessing it's all quite a normal result of the finishing processes.
Merci beaucoup!
