Title: Newer Cased Glass - Unknown Label
Post by: horochar on May 07, 2006, 06:35:10 AM
Acquired this fun, massive green and yellow vase today.  It's Italian, I think, and fairly new.  I'm assuming 10-20 years old.  It came with a folded cardboard "guaranzia" (all in Italian, without name of producer).  The original store price tag, which I removed, said $65.  The producer's label is torn and worn, but appears to begin with "IM" and might be 4 letters.  I'm tempted to use the vase, but seems like it would be a nightmare to clean.  Anyone know who made it, where and when?
Thanks,
Charles.

Can't help, but just a thought; the 'IM' might not be the start?

I considered that possibility, but the "I" appears to be situated on the left edge of a sticker, judging by curved corners.  I'm fairly sure that the 1st letter is, in fact, an I, but the sticker is in terrible shape and it's possible that I'm wrong.  Goodness knows, based on my posts to this board, I've been wrong before.
Thanks,
Charles.

Looking at Ivo's book, I'm wondering if it's IMVAT, however it just mentions "active c.1967" and that they produced giftware and souvenirs.
