Title: Edinburgh crystal segments?
Post by: Ben.unwin on January 27, 2016, 03:23:37 PM
I have 4 of these glass segments, does anyone know what they were originally used for?
Any help appreciated!

Quite possibly on a metal lazy susan type tray with a central round one, with a lid. Next time I'm at the friendly neighbourhood thrift store, I'll take a picture as they have one (except for the round central dish). My mum also had one when I was growing up so I'm thinking '50's.

Or possibly they fitted into a glass platter with a circular middle indent for putting "stuff" in. Like this sort of thing http://www.laurelleaffarm.com/item-photos/ring-pattern-Manhattan-glass-divided-dishes-handled-serving-tray-Laurel-Leaf-Farm-item-no-b331145t.jpg

Are they marked Edinburgh Crystal or something else, Ben?

They're all marked with the 55-80 mark "made in Edinburgh Scotland"
