This piece was purchased at an estate sale in Hendersonville, North Carolina (USA).
It is signed on the middle of the pontil and is very difficult to photograph even with applied powder.
5" inches tall (12cm), 7"inches wide (18cm), 4"inches deep (10cm)
Any information, comments, etc... would be most welcome.
Thank you for looking,
Tony

Very similar to the style of Neal Drobnis, as seen here...http://chasengalleries.com/drobnis/index.html
Signatures do not match, and could not email/contact successfully to inquire about the piece in question.

wild guess: signature looks somehow hebraic - Israel ? :-X

That signature suffers from parts being lost in the highly coloured background. I suggest taking another shot from a very shallow angle which leaves the signature dark and the surface appears whitish. The pattern does not come into it at all. A couple of photos to illustrate what I mean.

As many pictures that I have posted it seems for some reason resizing these is just not working. If I could email them to some one perhaps they could give it a try.
Thanks,

Trying...

Still trying ::)

Maybe this will help???

Tony, feel free to email me the images at full size if I can help with resizing them for you. yobunny AT hotmail.co.uk will reach me - change AT to @ and close up the spaces! ;)

Tony the "Photo 1" is starting to be what I suggested but you still see way too much of the underlying pattern. You can shoot at a much shallower angle still so it disappears. Note min the two shots I posted the second you can't see the pattern at all - no distraction for the eyes,

Sorry to be such a pain...
Believe me when I say this is about the best pics I can get. Had to use a magnifying loupe to get these.
The location (inside rough pontil) and size (small) of the mark/signature makes it almost impossible for me to do any better.
Thanks for all your help.

Think the date is 95 just in case that helps at some point..
I thought American Studio glass is often signed around the outside of the piece so might be looking outside America for maker?
I can't make anything out of the sig at all, I'm sorry. It's not your photo (they are a complete pain to photograph when done in the pontil mark), but the mark is quite indistinct. The first letter looks like a figure 8 but might be a B?

Not sure if these signatures are related...but for some reason they look close to me.
Does anyone know the signature on the vase in this ebay listing:
