The vase is ringing distant bells, but I can't pin it down.
It's 150mm / 6" tall, a continuous curved tube of smokey-topaz glass cased in blue-tinted clear, with two fire-polished openings and a flat polished base in the middle. Plenty of base-wear.
Any clues?

Looks like Skrdlovice, pattern # 5505 by Jan Kotik, 1955, lovely vase!

Wow. I never would have guessed Czech.
Thanks for that.

Found another example here: http://www.webareal.cz/ceskoslovenskesklo/25-STARE-CLANKY-OLD-ARTICLES/1006-Jan-Kotik
And a quick hit of Google shows different vases with the same colourway.
Thanks again.

Gorgeous vase Nic.
Also can I ask what the proper translation of your "motto" is please- Colligit Ut Spargat - Not being a Latin scholar I was curious.
Google translate came up with "Gathered together as toss" - I am sure that is not it!

Thanks for all the comments and further links.
Ha. Reliable old Google. It's approximately 'it is collected so that it may be spread'.

Thanks Nic, that makes much more sense!
