Glass / Possible Georgian tavern glass ?
« Last post by bat20 on June 30, 2025, 09:00:42 AM »
Hi all , found this Bell bowl solid stem wine glass at a bootfair over the weekend,it’s a bit over 14.5 cm in height and I would say soda glass .The foot is not folded but thin and you can feel wear using the finger nail test .My thoughts are continental and possibly 1750ish.There are all the normal small air bubbles and inclusions with light scratching at the bottom of the bowl (maybe a clue to what it was used for?)…any thoughts gratefully accepted, thanks .

Not only Fred, Mike, I spent ages uploading images to it as well, as did various others, and I know how useful it is. I will get to it as soon as I can, my life is a bit demanding at the moment and it's one of those jobs that I need to be able to focus on without distractions and there are too many of the latter getting in the way.
