Title: Baccarat Dupont or older?
Post by: Nick77 on September 16, 2012, 04:50:56 PM
My first thought was that this was a Baccarat Dupont of 1920-1930 but the canes seem very good for that era so is it older?
The only thing that perhaps holds it back from being earlier to me is that cane lengths differ on some of the clusters especially the centre ones of each.

Thanks in advance
Nick

Hi Nick.

It looks very Baccarat Dupont to me - some have these very strong colours, rather than the weak 'bleeding' canes found in many. This weight has the canes set relatively low in the dome too, as well as being long and rather untidy, both of which suggest Dupont.

Thanks Alan, I should have trusted my first instinct.
