Title: Can anyone identify the mark on the base of this ruby vase?
Post by: josordoni on February 07, 2006, 12:57:56 PM
I have seen lots of unmarked ruby and cranberry vases of this shape, but never one before with a mark, can anyone help to identify this manufacturer please?

The vase is at:

the mark is at:

It wasn't that easy to photograph so I hope the pic is high enough resolution.  If not, please let me know and I'll try to get a better one.

Yes, that is the mark for Anchor Hocking.  You have it pictured upside down.

The vase is from the Royal Ruby line.  There was a thread on these vases here several months ago.  I am traveling again so can't give more details but i am sure other members can.

Answer for the Anchor Hocking vase in Ruby,The mark is for THE ANCHOR HOCKING GLASS CO. of Lancaster,Ohio, USA. Factory- 1906> present. The mark you show is from pieces dated between 1937-77. I have several pieces of Anchor Hocking, one which is the twin of yours!
                                                   Hope this helps
                                                   Best wishes from Urchin.
