Despite being there 2 hours later than I wanted and pouring rain I thought I'd post these for show, more to come later,
One Webb vase,
Mdina 'pulled ear'? is that right?
Bohemian acid yellow scent bottle and a uranium to clear scent bottle, worth getting wet! ;D ;D
-
Like the Bohemian uranium piece - I think it is Riedel.
-
The Pulled Ear vase is the correct name for the Mdina - a later one though, evidenced by the wide flat shoulders and wide flat rim.
I like the uranium thing too.
-
Thanks both,it glows a treat ;D ;D
-
Love the yellow scent bottle. Would be good to see a pic of that on it's own under lighting. It's a fabulous colour.

This ok? ;D ;D

Nice! gorgeous colour

I suspect it's flint glass in that colour. I have a poorly one of these in standard uranium yellow and my research concluded Boston and Sandwich. I think Keith's shade of yellow would support that too. These are moulded not cut

I like the Webb vase, what period is it - it looks kind of deco to me.

What a wonderful haul Keith, you must be thrilled. I like the little perfume bottle as well.
-
Re the yellow perfume - they look identical Christine.
Ivo were you referring to the cut uranium to clear one as being Riedel?

I missed you then Keith, I left not long after it started raining and most of the sellers with outside pitches started packing up. Next time you go we could meet up for a cuppa.
When I returned to my car I found I had a flat tire (puncture) and had to drive home at low speed on one of those space saving tires that cars tend to have these days. It is hard staying below 50mph on a motorway and I was overtaken by caravaners. Oh the shame...
Bought some good glass though. ;D

No I was referring to the perfume. It has the quintessential Bohemian shape and I thought I recognised the colour - but the Riedel colour is much brighter by daylight. Also could not confirm as B&S in the Barlow & Kaiser book.
-
Christine; looks like a match,ta for looking ;D ;D
Adam;going on a similar vase in blue and clear,see pic',that is marked,1935-49,
Rosie;thanks,very pleased,
John;sorry I missed you,2 hours late due to train problems, nearly went to the 'booze caravan' to drown my sorrows but was already drowned ::) ;D ;D

Thanks Christine, found that about 5 min's ago after you said B& Sandwich but ta any way for looking ;D ;D
-
I'd be much happier if it were in the B&S book.
-
I did email the museum and await a reply ;D
-
To quote Dave
The perfume bottle is shown in the Barlow-Kaiser book entitled: A GUIDE TO SANDWICH GLASS, VASES, COLOGNES & STOPPERS and is identified as item #3112.
-
Ah. I'm using the Glass Industry in Sandwich from the same authors.

Keith
I could give you a lift home if only l was there. Normally l always go to Malvern except this time. I did a table top sale on Sat and if l go to Malvern next day my mrs will kill me. So l call it a miss beside l knew the weather is going to be bad anyway.

Thanks Ming, wouldn't want you to get in trouble with the boss :o ;D ;D
