Their website is unavailable but why don't you email them? Ask the question first before you send a picture. http://www.heronglass.co.uk/

Heron Glass ceased trading sometime in 2009/2010.

I am not at all certain that these vases were made by the Heron Glass we know in Cumbria.  I have seen a few of these pieces including some with the veined patterning on them and the same label,  and they look very much like the Polish Makora Glass Works pieces to my eyes.....not unlike the Jozefina pieces as well. Does the other word on the label say International?

It does Rosie, well-spotted. I wonder if Heron Glass bought them in to sell in their shop?

I was even wondering if there is another company calling themselves Heron Glass International, Anne.....just a thought?  There would be no conflict of interest as 'Our' Heron Glass ceased trading.

Heron Glass may have ceased trading, but it is still a registered company. There are two Heron Internationals and they are both offshore companies plus several interconnected Heron International...s

Heron International is a trademark of Heron International Ltd, which is connected to the other Heron Internationals, and seems to be usable on virtually anything you fancy.

Heron Glass doesn't seem to be connected to any of these

Back to Poland I think

There's an easy way to find out if these are connected to "our" Heron Glass: Amy who is part of the family that ran the business is on the board. I'll drop her a line and ask her to look in when she has a minute. :)

That would be interesting Anne....I feel I have to know now....you know how it is!!
I wonder if tinsixnine knows we are back on the case again???
Anyway, for the moment, I am going to put my money on Poland. :)

The vase is Heron Glass International which is hand made but imported. Heron glass International is part of 'our' Heron Glass. And, yes Lustrousstone, Heron Glass is still a registered company as we still have a shop in Poole.

I'm very sorry tinsixnine but i couldn't actually tell you what year the vase is but it is defiantly Heron Glass. Sorry i couldn't be of more help.

This is getting even more interesting and informative......how good to have your definitive reply heronglass123.  You mention it is imported, so I wonder if you are able to say where it was made?
You also mention that there is still a Heron Glass shop in Poole, do you have a web address for it please.  I am very fond of Heron Glass as I collect glass birds and animals, and don't live too far from the Dorset border.

Amy, thank you so much for coming along and adding this. It helps our knowledge immensely. Also, I'm very interested in Heron Glass as I think it's still very under-rated. I love my yellow Heron Glass bowl, (and normally I don't much like yellow glass!)

And I love my Heron Glass iridescent Ducks......I am always telling eBayers what their swans are when they list them incorrectly!!
