Please can  anyone tell me how old this is? Also does anyone have any idea as to what its worth, it is very heavy.
Many thanks

Probably 70's or 80's. Value of lighting largely depends on what it is worth to you, a similar new lamp might cost $100-$300 plus a bit for the name. Value used accordingly to less than that. But if 2 Sevres collectors decide they want this because of the name, the value depends on their wealth not wisdom.

Thank you for the info.
:) Its good news for me, as I never paid very much for it at all.

Frank you said a mouthful  :D Value is usually determined by what someone is willing to pay. There's no rhyme or reason to it.

The way I determine the value of any item is EBAY. I just do search for the maker (if I know it) and then narrow it down to similar items. Once I have my Ebay info, I refine my search with Google. The last place I usually check is Go Antiques.
