Yes Peter, but when this becomes old, it will still be in the same echelons of serious "high" art as it is today.
That is the lovliest Helen Millard I've seen. It is absolutely stunning.
I cannot blame you for succumbing to this. The very best is always the very best.
;) Care to do a part-time exchange, (occassionally) for my Alison Kinnaird Storm Lantern? You could enjoy that while I enjoy this, then we could swap back??????

Gosh that is exquisite.

I have never seen Helen Millard's work, now I am smitten! I have to have some of it... Absolutely breathtaking!
Thank you for sharing that with us Peter. :)

Helen is a friend of mine and a fan of my son in law her cameo glass is amazing she works many months on each piece , she normally does the glass fairs , some of the top glassies have said her work is as good as any of the guys who did cameo work for Webb i totally agree , i am sure she will be at Birmingham in November , just look and you will be smitten , her scarcity is probably to do with arranging a wedding . i wont say whos . i would love that piece , i have several of Helens early pieces including paperweights . jp Thats fabulous Peter is it for sale ?
-
Well if it is for sale, you can buy it for me JP, and I will buy you lunch at Brum!!
-
LOL sorry folks but definitely not for sale , we already have a Stourbridge cameo collection and when the other 1/2 found this for sale at Cambridge it was a must have ,I also have a miniature glass collection so it worked well in all directions, glad you all like it .
Cheers ,
Peter.

I further fan from the Antipodes. Absolutely a stunner. (Where is the greeen man symbol when you want to use it DOZENS of times?). You would not get me to sell it either.

I have a small cameo vase made by Helen three year ago which l was going to give it to my wife as birthday present. But l was too scare to give it to her . I just afraid what she will say when l told her how much it costed. l will have to tell her the truth if she asks. One can not lie to his wife , right guy. Might you she won't believe me even if l tell her the truth.
She always said l spent all my money on worthless glass. But if it worthless it can not cost much ,can it?

What a terrible dilemma Ming, perhaps you should give it to me instead...I would know and appreciate its value. ;D
