Title: Skrdlovice vase?

I've recently acquired this vase and have been trying to identify it. The closest i have come to an id myself is skrdlovice pattern number 5568, which i have seen in topaz/ blue.

Is this a 5568 in topaz/ green? It certainly seems to be a very similar shape and height.

Height 22.5cm
Weighs 917g
Smooth polished base

Any help would be much appreciated.

Skrdlovice looks spot on, sometimes pinning down a pattern number with certainty can be tricky. Michael shows an example of 5568 here, third photo: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,47490.msg322124.html#msg322124

I think this is a good attribution, as shape to some degree can be affected by individual glassblowers, while sticking to the main principles for the pattern, these two and the one from the my book (written with Jindrich Parik, Ed. Mark Hill) are all shaped slightly differently, while the basic attributes are constant, the curving indentation along the body, the pulled lip, are the same. As John says, some Skrdlovice patterns are more difficult to identify than others! I have a couple of fifties Skrdlovice, that still make me scratch my head a bit... In the world of glass, noone knows it all....

Thank you for your input John and Robert. I'm thrilled to own the vase, i love the shape and tactile nature of it. I recently bought a copy of your wonderful book Robert. Every page is a delight.
continuing on the Skrdlovice theme, I have seen mention of Skrdlovice pattern books that are available online but i haven't been able to find them. Do you know of any sites/links where these are posted?

Thanks Matt. The link to Skrdlovice catalogues  in the book used the translated version of the Pardubice museum website link, that the internet now does not seem to like processing.

If you scroll down this page, there are several PDF files of Skrdlovice patterns.

I would recommend visiting Pardubice museum as it does have a permanent Czech glass exhibition. Unfortunately, Jindra's website is in a period of transition due to google making picasa into goole photos, as it normally has a wealth of Cz glass info.

Thank you very much Robert for taking the time to post that link. It's fascinating to see the original pattern books, and i'd certainly like to visit the Pardubice museum sometime.
