This has a real Scandinavian feel to me. It is 15cm wide 5cm in height with a raised design on the base and a 2cm rim. If there is a mark I cant find one. I have found a smaller version on line but says the same as me "feels Scandinavian"

Feels Scandinavian to me to - reminds me of Lars Hellsten's work for Skruf and Orrefors - I'm not saying it is, just reminds me.

Its a very attractive piece. May be a keeper. Will go through Skruf and orrefors (my first thought) I think it will turn out to be scandinavian. Will let you all know if I find it. Thanks.

Don't underestimate the Germans and limit your search!

I would support Ivo and go for Germany as well.
The hammered effect reminds of some Walther Glas pieces...
Btw, the "Skruf / Lars Hellsten vase" in the link above is Walther Glas ;) >> Link (http://www.glaskilian.de/Pressglas-Vase-ON-THE-ROCKS-Wa.576+B6YmFja1BJRD01NzYmcHJvZHVjdElEPTE0MTExJnBpZF9wcm9kdWN0PTU3NiZkZXRhaWw9.0.html)

I have done a search for German and after seeing dinklepips link it looked very close in style for Skruf then of course we get the Walther Glass link ;D I know not to trust what you see sometimes without double checking. The raised Pattern is very similar in style and texture. I will look closer at the German link now. Thanks all.

I see that the piece (Walther) was made in the 70's. Would that date this piece to 70's as well ? The Bottle/Vase raised design looks like mine with the corners cut out. No luck finding this yet. The 'Skruf' pic goes into great detail about the maker etc. Strange to think a lot of info out there is wrong,( a bit like QI with Steven Fry, what you thought you knew is different to the truth) I have seen debates on here as to who and when and some printed books have been shown to be slightly off the mark. I only have the internet and limited books so I get led up the wrong path on occasion but can always rely on the Board to help.
