Title: Caithness Ltd Edition Bottle
Post by: Istenno on November 20, 2010, 01:16:48 PM
Hi there.

I have picked up this rather lovely looking Caithness bottle paperweight.
It is signed on the base 'White Orchid, Caithness Scotland. 13/60'
I was just wondering if anyone could help me with when it was made? It has the numbers 60 or 09 in the stopper. I think maybe it means it was made in 2009 or 60 because it is one of a limited amount of 60? I don't know a lot about this I'm afraid so really appreciate any input. I have looked online but can't seem to track it down.

Many thanks

This Perfume Bottle was commissioned by Peter Jones of Wakefield in 2007 to celebrate the 60th Wedding Anniversary (hence the edition size of 60 as well) of Queen Elizabeth II. Designed by Helen MacDonald, the lampwork was done by Allan Scott.

Images of the corresponding Paperweight are in the queue to be uploaded to Scotland's Glass (http://www.scotlandsglass.co.uk/cms/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=159&Itemid=51) - but I don't have images of the Bottle: would you give us permission to use your images - or even better: could you, please, send me (mail button in left hand column) higher resolution images?

Thanks in advance - Wuff
