happy New year to you all. I wonder if anyone knows this rather distinctive piece of green glass? I suspect it is Scandinavian but can get no further than that. Any help most welcome and thanks in advance.

Hi Sue,
This seems to be a match for the design by Erik Hoglund for Boda in the following thread: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,30871.0.html. Hopefully someone will jump in and correct me if I'm wrong.
Wonder whether it's missing some sort of stopper?

Thank you Cathy - I looked at the other glasses you linked to and it seems to be correct. Not sure about a stopper..doesn't seem to be any wear on the neck and I would have thought there would be some if it had a stopper. maybe it is a vase! I also have a clear glass tankard, from the same point of purchase, with the nudes.

Possibly a carafe, so no stopper.
Very nice item.
John
Edit: looks like it may have originally come with a cork (brown residue in neck).

Here is a link where you can see two examples of this design (also in green). The first about a quarter of the way down the page has no cork, the second about half way down the page has a cork (the photos used are not quite as clear as yours).
