This paperweight has a Murano sticker and is 3 1/2" tall and 4" wide. It's two pieces put together. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like it's a Cenedese one, as in the earlier thread posted by whitefriars 007 and entitled 'Paperweight'
Sorry I don't know how to do the link thing

I'm wondering if this is old or new. I know they remade some of the larger scenes but did they also remake these types of paperweights?

I've never come across a vintage Cenedese in this shape, so I'm wondering if there may be remakes going on.

Thanks Paul, I got an ID on it as being from the 70's or 80's so I'm happy.

Sorry to be so behind the times - I do not have time to regularly check the board. Usually leni chivvies me into replying!
I would have said that this paperweight was made in the last 5 years. The square weights ( made in the sandwiched together way) have really only come into fashion in that time. Domaghi were the first ones that I saw like that. Ragazzi make square ones too now, but not in the same way. That paper label is the same as the one used by Eugnio Ferro - although I know that is not a guarantee that they made it. Last time I looked round the stockroom in Eugenio Ferro a few years ago they were making square and cube fish weights - but I could not find any that I thought the quality was good enough to buy for resale.
When you say you were given ID on the weight - in what form etc?
