I'm still learning, day by day, to differentiate Chinese from Murano millefiori.
So many are easy, the highly polished bases, the totally flat highly polished bases, the classic Murano florals, etc.
Then there are the ones that seem to be Murano, and are labeled as such, but without the highly polished bases, so that kills my earlier theory that if the base wasn't polished, it wasn't Murano, lol.
I know there are many quality levels of Murano, as well as Chinese pieces, and I would assume there are Murano w8s that are lesser quality than a high quality Chinese piece.
Anyway, to the example at hand. Would you think this is a somewhat crudely made Murano piece? Or a Chinese piece with thick slices of cane? I tend to think of the stereotypical Chinese millefiori as very thinly sliced, and these are "chunky".
As always any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

btw, I think I may have come up with a new term, "fauxrano". to describe pieces that are "Murano Style". Companies like Anne Primrose, Icet Murano, etc.

I am pretty sure (99.9%) that this one is Chinese.
I coined the term 'Chirano' a few years ago for such pieces!

I'm 99.999% sure it's Chinese. I have one that is nearly identical, but the canes are a blue and white theme.
