Title: Neil Wilkin vase
Post by: flying free on February 08, 2011, 11:38:44 PM
I added one more to my small collection - I bought this on spec hoping I'd read the clues right.  It's an early piece signed and dated 1986.  I believe an experimental piece.  I'm working my way up to a garden sculpture  ;D

Can I ask - why?

Hi Nigel
I emailed Sarah and Neil Wilkin to ask about the vase.  Within her reply she said '...They did a lot of experimental pieces and he must admit not to remembering this - but it's his ! '

Thanks for giving us more detail about that. Very interesting and informative.

Still no flower but my newest piece signed W&W Bath 1985 in the same handwriting as my vase above.  So a year earlier than the vase.  I think this is a Rachael Woodman/Neil Wilkin collaboration.  Full of minute bubbles with a pale aqua blue colour bowl and a 1950s green rim wrap.  Very ethereal.
Could this thread be moved to British Glass please when you have time?  Thank you :)
