To me, this Perthshire paperweight (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5574631383&toolid=10001&campid=5336261829&customid=&icep_item=380388981370&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229508&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg) looks to be a run of the mill PP2. Am I missing something, or is the seller just very, very optimistic?

Hi Alan
Looks bog standard PP2 to me - just someone trying to jump on the Christmas band wagon! Rather like this Perthshire ! (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120818011620?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm570.l2736%26_nkw%3D120818011620%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1)
Best regards

Oooh! Gosh!
Better drag out some Perthshires and list them on eBay....

It appears that such optimism (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150706832134&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123)is spreading to this side of the lake!!

I agree that the Perthshire is overpriced and optimistic.
But I don't think the price for the Delmo Tarsitano paperweight is unreasonable. The design was priced at $8,500 when it was exhibited in the Winter Garden Exhibit at the Alexander Gallery on Madison Avenue in New York City in 1984. It is called Dragonfly in a Strawberry Patch.

And it is such a lovely weight...

Thank you Allan. I agree that it is a very attractive weight, I've just never seen a Delmo Tarsitano weight in that price range before. I stand corrected.
-
Of course, you can always make an offer and get it for less. :)

Good gravy. Still keeping my Perthshires.
That Tarsitano is amazing.
