Hi Mel
Not Chinese but Murano and probably Fratelli Toso I'd say.

thanks to Nicks guidance I have now found both the orange flower and leaf canes in (separate) labelled FT paperweights online

can't tell you the hours I have poured over online images  ::)

Hi.  There are images of some fairly similar weights on the FT pages of my Murano project on my website.

Alan.

Hi Alan, thanks for your comments - I have to admit to stalking your pages regularly  :-[ but didn't make the connection
would you be able to tell me which ones you feel are similar? I've looked again and the canes don't match (to my eye)

I'm trying to learn - mainly so I don't have to keep pestering you guys! and would appreciate what I'm missing being pointed out - if you have the time and inclination  :)

cheers, Mel

Hi mel.  It wasn't exact cane match so much as a feel for style and colour, where I was thinking of FT images no. 6 on page 1 and no. 3 on page 2.

thanks Alan - very much appreciated.

I've come across those grape canes on my travels before but wouldn't have made the leap.

I can see the similarity in the simple style and clear base though :)
