Title: Label for STA glass, Sweden

Having here a rather modernistic looking blown vase in a teal colour with a circular foil label. The foil label has almost disintegrated - and reads STA GLASS, SWEDEN. I'm pretty sure there is no room for a Kosta interpretation. Anyone familiar with STA?

Yes, this one I know, since I used to play there as a kid when the factory had just closed down...  ;)

Anyway, the label is from Alvesta glass works, which closed down around 1977.

 :hiclp: :hiclp: :hiclp: Thank you. I am still amazed after all those yers that glas factories come to light which nobody heard of before - especially in Sweden.

p.s. just googled Alvesta and the label is not circular - it has a central bar which reads "Alvesta Glasbruk" in full.

Yup, my reference for Alvesta is that it was extant 1932 - 1977.
