Title: Help with tall square cut crystal vase - ID: Podebrady, des Vladimir Zahour
Post by: twenty21 on September 28, 2008, 09:06:48 PM
Could anyone be kind to help me identify this vase. It is square and tall in shape. Heavily cut crystal. It has a etched mark on the base as shown. I also provided a graphic copy of the mark. Thank you for your time and assistance!! Carlo :comp:

There are similar pieces in Mark Hill's 'Hi Sklo Lo Sklo' by Vladimir Zahour for Podebrady glassworks. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. The designer name does tie in with the 'VZ' monogram, though.

Hi,
Nic is absolutely correct with the ID. The cut is Zahour's TS782 pattern.
Nice piece.
Regards,
Marcus
