Title: Rose pink iridescent resist - is this Fenton?
Post by: Ivo on October 28, 2012, 12:37:39 PM
Small Tazza or bonbon here in pink with a most curious decoration. The surface is iridised - very much like Fenton stretch glass. Except there is no stretch, and the iridescence is partial.

Is it Fenton?

Ivo I would lean very, very heavily (95%) toward Fostoria with one of their Brocade etches that ran from 1927 to 1929 only. These Brocade etches (Grape, Cupid, Paradise, Victoria, Oak Leaf , Oak Wood & Palm Leaf) all had the shiny irridescent finishes that does resemble stretch, but is not & were used on so many early blanks that its very tough to get you a line number. Fantastic to have an ID and an angle for further research. Love it - thank you very much!
