I thought it was a great venue. So much natural light coming in everything was shown off to the best possible degree!  The Whitefriars pedestal I have listed came from there and I've never seen one before.  So hugely amusing was showing it to a weight dealer to be shown another one he had on his stall for sale.  They're like buses apparently..... :)

We had a great chat to Allistair Malcolm as well.  Love his pieces and his reputation is growing pretty quickly.

Hi Ian,
I know buses are supposed to come along in groups, but in the countryside they're so rare that you just want to hang onto them for your own use!! Seems like the same thing happens with WF pedestal weights. Have you seen both types from WF ? One is deeper than the other in the body but has a shorter pedestal. I have attached a couple of photos to show this.

Still envious of Roy Brown's Magnum 12 row concentric pedestal weight (only 2 made). Enormous and so beautiful!!!

Cheers,

Tony

Hi TonyI think you have confused me with someone else. My magnum pedestal is a close pack, not a concentric.I have never seen another magnum, concentric or closepack. Who gave you the info on only two made??Roy

Hi Roy,
yes, I was mixing up your pedestal close pack (how could I, having only seen it a few weeks ago?) with the concentric shown in Paperweights from GB. Still envious ! Do you know of any others?

Cheers,

Tony

Hi Roy,
forgot to say that it was in Paperweights from GB where it is mentioned about only two magnums being made.
