Title: Murano? paperweight bottle ID help needed
Post by: rsts on November 11, 2011, 07:08:02 PM
I recently acquired this paperweight bottle.  My thinking is that it is Murano.  The base of the bottle is flat and polished.  No identifying marks. The body is a translucent opalescent blue. The flower canes remind me of Murano I have seen but can't remember when.  Stands 11 1/4" tall.  Base is 3 9/16" diameter. Looking for ID confirmation and possible age.

Wow,  what a lovely decanter.  This canes do look Murano but I can't even think where to begin figuring out from where it may have been made.

The bottle part colour reminds me of some Salviati pieces I've seen but maybe some one else can help ;D
