Title: Brown heavy glass bowl - rather plain and unassuming, but well made

Hi,

I'm hoping someone will recognise the maker of my heavy glass bowl. It's rich brown / amber in colour, darker at the top and bottom.

It's 19cm wide and 8,5cm tall. The bottom is quite thick, with 2,5cm separating the base from the inside well.   The base is completely flat with substantial wear.  I can't make out if the edge has been beveled or not. The bowl weighs 1639g.

It's a well-made piece, but I'm afraid because it's so plain, it will be near impossible to find an attribution.

I've got a vase in a similar exciting colour-way.  :) Measures 12cm high x 9cm at its widest weighs 660g with some of that weight being its Archimede Seguso label on its highly polished base which sort of has a bevelled edge. Just a thought.

Anik for some reason, when I looked at your bowl, I thought Norway - but I can't tell you why and I'm probably wrong :)
Maybe Magnor,did they do a colour like this?

Also Faglaviks Glasbruk used a lot of this colour, so maybe Sweden another country to look at.

It's a colour that in my opinion doesn't photograph well as it's so dark, but looks great,  like delicious treacle, under lighting.
