My OH bought me this to go with my collection :kissy: and if I'm not mistaken its a 7" opal-flashed Candy Stripe model dating back to 1962 according to David's book
Just love the Spring colour!
-
By jove! I think you're right. Nice one H!
-
very nice Anne - just remember NOT to blow your nose on it ;D
-
Candy Stripe is a scarce design, so it's a good find. If it is also opal-flashed then these are rare!

Difficult to show, but very different from my clear ones

Wow, that is lovely!

Hi CherryT ;) Pleased to hear you like it.
This is my latest addition acquired yesterday http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y195/glassie/DSCF2521.jpg I can't make my mind up if it is Bandel Type 1 or Bandel Type 2 (shown in David's book) in maroon. Its a whopper though at 8" high and the biggest I have in my collection of 30+ It really is very striking looking and only just fits on top of my wall units :o
Perhaps David can confirm when he looks in :X:

Aww thats lovely, the 8" are a bit harder to come by aren't they? I have two 7", one is brown/amber coloured glass with a bark effect, and the other one is a red grid. The others are all 4", mix of amber hammer, blue dimpled, bandel, cordon, polkadot, gingham, mixtures of colours! Yet to find an escher or Psychedelic! :D

Anne & Cherry, isn't it time to show your lovely 'hankies' on the 'You show me yours.....' link??
I really like Chance glass, it reminds me of my childhood!!
Rosie. :sun:

Type 1 I think, because it has four sets of stripes.
-
Ooo yes, I must get snapping those pics! :D

It will be a bit difficult for me I'm afraid, as they line all the top cabinets on three walls, and I don't have a wide angle camera which would help (or a step ladder :thud: ) but I'll see what I can do Rosie
Thanks Christine. I couldn't make out the difference no matter how much I looked and compared. :-[
