Title: Pressed glass (mint) sauce boats - ID = Bagley

Bought these (and a few other things) whilst car booting on Saturday.  They have a charmed life.  Whilst I was on the way home, a police car decided to turn across my path 20yds in front of me, and I hit it at 40mph.  Quite amazingly, all glass and all people involved survived unscathed, although a tad shaken about.  A good reminder to take lots of bubble wrap with you when you go out!

No 1:  Very pointy, sitting on a diamond/star shaped dish. Handle is closed/unperforated. Jug is 5" long.

No 2:  I think this might be Bagley pattern 3030, but the source I read isn't 100% clear. I have one of these with an open handle and one with a closed/unperforated handle. Jug is 6" long.

No 3: Stylised bird shape.  Has a stub handle. Jug is 6" long.

I would say yes to 1 and 2, both 3030, and possibly to 3

Many thanks for your help.

I take it that the 3030 refers to everything in the diamond pattern, and has nothing to do with the shapes? 
Has anyone been to Pontefract museum to see the room of Bagley exhibits? 

I might do that next week.  It's only 50 miles up the road.

Anne, does your ad give a date and pattern number?  I tried to see myself, but the photo isn't detailed enough.

I looked through the other ads you put up on the GG and managed to confirm some jugs that I suspected were by Sherdley.  Thanks for that, too!

BTW, one of my jugs in this stepped pattern is cut with a trailing vine.  Do you know whether Sherdley may have produced and sold cut glass at all, or is it more likely that a third party used their blanks?

Bagley pattern numbers refer to a range, not individual items. I doubt Sherdley did cutting, too specialist for a low end manufacturer
