Title: Iridised shot glasses - applied grapes & leaves.
Post by: Della on November 08, 2007, 09:29:36 AM
Hi All,

Can anyone help me with this boxed set of little shot glasses? The decoration appears to be applied.
There are no markings on the box, but I am presuming 1960 ish?

TIA

Della  thank you.
Fascinating little glasses! At first glance they look like Indiana's "Harvest"...but they clearly are not. My next thought was LGW - the iridescence appears to have their characteristic vivid "wow" factor.

The key here would be the base glass. Are they a smoky coloured base glass? If not, then more thinking is needed.......

Hi Glen  ;D ;D

My first thought was Indiana too, but I had looked at all the sites I know of and ruled them out.
The glass is splinter thin and the base colour is amber.
I am off to read your article now  ;) ;D ;D
Thank you  :-*
